The burn ban for Okaloosa County has officially expired but we don't need a burn ban to remind us to stay cognizant of wildfire dangers and to take fire safety precautions.

Use caution and be fire-aware, douse campsite fires, watch burns closely and keep an eye on loose metal hanging from vehicles and trailers in order to prevent a spark. If you suspect a wildfire, contact the Florida Forest Service immediately at 850-957-5701.
