A recent boating accident on Poquito Bayou prompted Okaloosa County Commissioner Carolyn Ketchel to entertain a listening session regarding the safety of Okaloosa County Waterways, specifically Poquito Bayou, the site of a major jet ski crash injuring a father and daughter.
The safety discussion, kicked off by members of the Poquito Bayou Homeowners Association, began Tuesday, September 8 at 6pm and will lead to further discussion at the regular Board of County Commissioner meeting to be held in Shalimar, September 15. Visit MyOkaloosa.com for Board Meeting Schedule and Agendas.
Connection issues were a challenge but our public information team captured most of the opinions shared at the listening session via Facebook live. Here are the 3 separate video clips, in order from beginning to end. Please excuse the connection problems that persisted despite active troubleshooting. We look forward to further discussion at the September 15 Board Meeting.
